I put into boxes all my summer dresses and tops and shorts and put those away. The nights are seemingly darker and the chilly wind blows as I go grocery shopping.

This is exactly what my wise mother did, and now whenever I visit her I take with me a jar of blueberries and a bottle of currant juice she made for me.
